The Fruit of My Pen
The fruit of my pen is the poems I write.
That starts with a good seed of thought!
That’s nurture in my mind to grow,
Until the fruit’s ripe and sought!
When released with the stroke of a pen,
On page it is bitter or sweet,
Loved by others or tasteless,
To me it makes life complete!
At the end of its growing cycle,
The fruit that falls is a pleasure!
To be enjoyably consumed,
Then again and again at leisure!
For the fruit of my pen is poetry.
Poems that flow like a river on course!
Sometimes it’s just a fantasy,
About Pride my speaking Horse!
But my fruit is always full of rhyme,
Usually having a message inside,
It’s one of the greatest loves I have,
It nourishes and fills me with pride!.
